Pastor Arbentz Pierre-Antoine
Arbentz Andre Pierre-Antoine was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1968. He is the third born child of seven children from Mrs. Monique Etienne and Mr. Andre Pierre-Antoine. As a young child Arbentz grew up in a home full of strong Christian values of the Catholic faith. At the age of six, Arbentz began his primary studies at the Jean Marie Guilloux Congregational School. At a very challenging time in his life, Arbentz received his first call to serve the Lord by becoming the first and only Seventh - day Adventist in his family, by way of surrendering his life through the waters of baptism in November of 1988. He continued on to complete his high school education at the school of Lycee Petion in 1990.
At the start of his college education, Pastor Arbentz was enrolled in the state university of Haiti majoring in Philosophy. However, one year later, he responded to a higher calling and attended the Adventist University of Haiti with a change in his major to Theology. By the fall of 1995 Pastor Arbentz graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. Nonetheless, he eagerly aimed at achieving another degree after having returned to the State University of Haiti for two years majoring in Law. Despite the many roads and paths traveled to complete his distinguished career, Pastor Arbentz demonstrated a love and devotion for preaching. Long before becoming a pastor, he placed the word not only in his heart but also on his lips, baptizing over 100 souls for Christ through the help of the Holy Spirit. Up to this very day, throughout his pastoral ministry Arbentz has baptized thousands of souls for Christ throughout the United States and abroad in Haiti, Canada and the Bahamas.
After migrating to the United States in the spring of 1999, Pastor Arbentz served as an Asst. Pastor for Bethesda Haitian S.D.A. and Shiloh Bilingual S.D.A. which are both located in Brooklyn, N.Y. On February 15th of 2002, Pastor Arbentz Pierre-Antoine received the call to join the Allegheny East Conference of SDA Churches. Under the AEC conference he became the Pastor of three churches; Horeb Haitian SDA in Silver Spring, MD, Eben Ezer Haitian SDA in Seaford DE and Salem French SDA of East Orange, N.J.. Under his leadership at Eben Ezer Haitian SDA Pastor Arbentz broke ground and by God’s grace helped to build a church for the Eben Ezer Haitian Church.
During his tenure with the Allegheny East Conference, Pastor Arbentz served a four year term as the Haitian Coordinator of the Haitian Churches. While still pasturing and fulfilling the requirements of being a coordinator, He managed to create a Haitian ministerial fund, and laity council for the Haitian Adventist community. Pastor Arbentz also organized the first Haitian Camp Meeting that remains today as a legacy.
In 2009, Pastor Arbentz was granted a full Scholarship towards his graduate studies where he completed a Masters Degree in Religious Studies awarded with honors in the Old and New Testament in 2011.
Pastor Arbentz Pierre-Antoine is married to the former Regine Joanis. Regine Pierre-Antoine is a Registered Nurse. They are proud parents of three young, bright and vibrant sons; Andrew, Andre and De Andre. His favorite past-time is spending time with friends and family playing his favorite sport – Soccer. Above all his accomplishments, Pastor Arbentz wants to be known as a servant of the Lord.
Pastor Arbentz’ favorite scripture is found in Lamentation 3:23-25.
"Les bontés de l'Éternel ne sont pas épuisés, Ses compassions ne sont pas à leur terme; Elles se renouvellent chaque matin. Oh! que ta fidélité est grande! L'Éternel est mon partage, dit mon âme; C'est pourquoi je veux espérer en lui. L'Éternel a de la bonté pour qui espère en lui, Pour l'âme qui le cherche".
